RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCE TO NOISE
ORDINANCE REQUEST FROM PURVIS WILLIAMS IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE SUMMER SOUL CLASSIC MEET
AND GREET EVENT, TO BE HELD AT SULLIVAN PARK ON
JULY 23, 2021, FROM 4:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M., AND FERGUSON
FIELD ON JULY 24, 2021 FROM 10:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M., TO
INCLUDE A DRUMLINE AND DANCE TEAM BATTLE.
WHEREAS, Purvis Williams has requested to hold the Summer Soul Classic Meet and
Greet event, to be held at Sullivan Park on July 23, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., and
Ferguson Field on July 24, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., to include a Drumline and Dance
Team Battle.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Purvis Williams to hold the Summer Soul Classic Meet
and Greet event, to be held at Sullivan Park on July 23, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., and
Ferguson Field on July 24, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., to include a Drumline and Dance
Team Battle, is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of July 2021.
