stri RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE USE OF METROPOLITAN
C E-1 ENHANCEMENT FUNDS FOR DEVELOPMENT OF A TRAIL
H HEAD ADJACENT TO THE CEDAR VALLEY LAKES TRAIL

WHEREAS, the Black Hawk Metropolitan Area has been
65e4et-oping a network of multi-use, non-motorized trails for
e1 years; and

c F WHEREAS, development of a trail head at the intersection of
h4- Cedar Valley Lakes Trail and Conger Street is an important
L-comio(laient of this trail network; and

WHEREAS, funding assistance is available through the Black
Hawk Metropolitan Area Transportation Policy Board' s Metropolitan
Enhancement Program and the City of Waterloo is in need of such
assistance in order to fully develop this trail head; and
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo certifies that this trail head
is Within its jurisdiction and will remain dedicated to public
user; -and further that the City of Waterloo will have
jurdictional responsibility and will adequately maintain the
trail head for a minimum of 20 years .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the City of Waterloo endorses said project,
and that with assistance of Metropolitan Enhancement funds, the
development of the trail head will be completed, and that the
trail head will remain dedicated to public use and adequately
maintained.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 25th day of October, 2004 .
