o s H COMMITMENT FOR THE MAIN STREET PROGRAM IN THE
d CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA.

s H o WHEREAS, an Agreement between the Iowa Department of
*8onomic Development, Main Street Waterloo, and the City of
osp4Xerloo, Iowa, has been approved for the purpose of continuing
• Ettik Main Street Iowa Program in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and

a WHEREAS, this Agreement is pursuant to contractual
caig eements between the National Trust for Historic Preservation
oc 'and the Iowa Department of Economic Development to assist in the
revitalization of the designated Main Street project area of
i/iterloo, Iowa, and

F+ WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
Lendorses the goal of economic revitalization in the Downtown
*ithin the context of preservation and rehabilitation of its
historic buildings and supports the continuation of the Main
Street Four Point Approach as developed by the National Trust for
Historic Preservation and espoused by Main Street Iowa.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HERBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, meeting in regular session on
December 13, 2004, that the City of Waterloo hereby agrees to
support both financial and philosophically the work of Main
Street Waterloo and designates the Main Street Board to supervise
the Program Director.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of December, 2004 .
