o tcl ,i WHEREAS, in November 2002, the Waterloo City Council
approved the sale of land generally located at the northwest
01 c40 of Highway 218 and West llth Street to Ronald Weber, and

,WHEREAS, said land was sold to Ronald Weber with the
rrement that Mr. Weber construct buildings upon the site in
orr for the City of Waterloo to recoup its lower sale value

E. -WHEREAS, said property was valued by city staff at
4~4; 24 . 00 using the price per square foot of other property in
tfte area, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Weber purchased said property for $9, 330 . 00
with the stipulation that he would construct, or cause to be
constructed, a commercial building upon the property within two
years that would more than pay for the difference in the
purchase price, and
WHEREAS, Rick Brown has proposed to purchase said land from
Ronald Weber and is requesting the City of Waterloo extend the
period allowed for construction of buildings to July 1, 2005 to
allow sufficient time for development of said property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, that the request of Rick Brown to extend to
July 1, 2005, the requirement to construct, or cause to be
constructed, a commercial building upon said property within two
years in conjunction with sale to Ronald Weber land generally
located at the northwest corner. of Highway 218 and West llth
Street, be and the same is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of December, 2004 .
