` = WHEREAS, the Iowa Northland Regional Council of Governments
2 Hhas been authorized by the County to make application through the
(1-' Iowa Emergency Management Division (IEMD) to the Federal
ti E,Ernergency Management Agency (FEMA) for funding from the Pre-
`` g :isaster Mitigation Grant Program in the amount of $10, 721 . 00 as
the total project cost of developing a local hazard mitigation
ap: an update, of which the federal share cannot exceed 75% of the
actual total project cost and the local share must be at least
N25o of the actual total project cost, and
WHEREAS, there is currently a contract between the City of
Waterloo to complete a plan which would not meet the new federal
requirements for such a plan, and
WHEREAS, the Subgrantee recognizes the fact that the 25%
local share can be from cash and/or in-kind services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the Subgrantee agrees to provide or make
available $2, 680. 25 (two thousand six-hundred eighty dollars and
twenty-five cents) of local monies to be used to meet the 25%
local match requirement for the City of Waterloo' s portion of
this mitigation grant application.
