RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE SALE
AND CONVEYANCE OF PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED
AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF WALKER STREET AND
LONGFELLOW AVENUE TO WATERLOO SCHOOLS FOR
$1 . 00 AND OTHER VALUABLE CONSIDERATION, PLUS
COSTS, AS FEBRUARY 3, 2003, AT 5: 30 P.M. IN
CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS, WATERLOO, IOWA
AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH THE
NOTICE OF HEARING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa
shall meet at City Hall Council Chambers in the City of Waterloo,
Iowa at 5: 30 p.m. on the 3rd day of February, 2003, for the
purpose of considering and acting upon a proposal to sell and
convey property generally located at the southwest corner of
Walker Street and Longfellow Avenue to Waterloo Schools, and
legally described as follows:
A part of Lots B, C and D, Cedar Dale, Waterloo, Black
Hawk County, Iowa described as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the North right-of-
way line of Parker Street and the West right-of-way
line of Longfellow Avenue; thence North 00°32' 35" East
along the West right-of-way line of Longfellow Avenue a
distance of 344 . 90 feet to the point of beginning;
thence North 89°26' 25" West a distance of 87 . 56 feet;
thence South 55°42' 07" West a distance of 30 . 84 feet;
thence Northwesterly along a non-tangent curve concave
Southwesterly having a radius of 1697 . 50 feet and a
long chord bearing North 29°00' 48" West a distance of
317 . 64 feet; thence Northwesterly along a non-tangent
curve concave Southwesterly having a radius of 881 . 83
feet and a long chord bearing North 41°33' 07" West a
distance of 218 . 11 feet; thence North 48°38' 16" West a
distance 497 . 00 feet; thence Northwesterly along a
curve concave Southwesterly having a radius of 531 . 22
feet and a long chord bearing North 62°42' 22" West a
distance of 260. 87 feet; thence North 00°14' 35" East a
distance of 50 . 80 feet to the South right-of-way line
of Walker Street; thence South 89°45' 25" East along
said South right-of-way line a distance of 1022 . 18 feet
to the West right-of-way line of Longfellow Avenue;
thence South 00°32' 35" West along said West right-of-
way line a distance of 917 . 01 feet to the point of
beginning.
The West right-of-way line of Longfellow Avenue is
assumed to bear South 00°32' 35" West, all in the City
of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa,
for $1 . 00, plus costs .
Section 2 . That the City Clerk is hereby directed to
publish notice of the time and place of said hearing in the
Waterloo Courier.
