P: ,..WitEREAS, the Boy Scouts of America Winnebago Council is
ajholdihg a Council Jamboree at Exchange Park on September 19-21,

r(r-I WHEREAS, said Boy Scouts of America Winnebago Council would
like -Lb hold a youth Archery Range and Youth BB Gun Range on
September 20, 2003 at Exchange Park, in conjunction with said
Council Jamboree, and
WHEREAS, said Boy Scouts of America Winnebago Council has
made formal application for a variance to Sections 5-2-6 and 7-8-5
of the 2001 Waterloo Code of Ordinances, which Prohibits
Discharging of Firearms within the City, in conjunction with 2003
Scout Camporee at Cedar River/Exchange Park on September 19-21,
2003, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA that the request of Boy Scouts of America Winnebago
Council requesting a variance to Sections 5-2-6 and 7-8-5 of the
2001 Waterloo Code of Ordinances, which Prohibits Discharging of
Firearms within the City, in conjunction with 2003 Scout Camporee
at Cedar River/Exchange Park on September 19-21, 2003, be and the
same hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 31st day of March, 2003.
