RESOLUTION NO. 2003-215
RESOLUTION MAKING ASSESSMENT FOR REPAIRING
THE SERVICE LINE AND PREVENTION OF FURTHER
DAMAGE AT 1525 BYRON AVENUE.
WHEREAS, the Board of Water Works Trustees of the Cit
of
Waterloo, Iowa, did, as provided b
the Property owner of the Y law, notify by written notice
es known as 15
have the service line re P aped and further damagge p prevented, and
WHEREAS, the property owner failed to comply with the order
law
of the Board of Water Works Trustees, as by
WHEREAS, the Boardprovided, and
of Water Works Trustees proceeded to have
the work done on the premises described as 1525 Byron Avenue,
the City of Waterloo, Iowa, to comply
the City of Waterloo, Iowa p Y with Ordinance No, in
and 1118 of
WHEREAS, the Board of Water Works Trustees filed with
City Clerk on the 20th day of March,
for the repairing2003, a report filingthe
damage at above of the service line and claim
described premises and preventing thefurther requirements of the City ordinance and have been fully ame tcompleted.all
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE O
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the said report of the Board of Water Works
Trustees be, and the same is hereby,done under and by virtue hereby, approved; that the work was work is hereby accepted, and that the cost of
saidbe ssosked over a deermined to be as follows, which amount can
ten-year period against the

Salih and Vezira Kurta, Owners

Legal Description:
Lot No. Five (5) , in Putnam' s Subdivision of Lots
Twelve (12) and Thirteen (13) of Buckingham Place, all
in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
Unpaid Assessment : $3, 500. 00
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there be,
are
assessed and levied a special tax and assessment and againsthereb
theproperty improved, described as 1525 Byron Avenue in the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, the amount of $3, 500. 00, said assessment shall
bear interest from the date of levy
March 31, 2003, at the rate of nine of the assessment, viz:
percent per annum
paid on all the unpaid amount of this (assessment certified tountil
the
County Treasurer of Black Hawk County, Iowa, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she is
hereby instructed to notify Salih and Vezira Kurta of said
property, accordingly and also instructed to
assessment to the County Treasurer of Black Hawk County, Iowa, to
be entered upon the tax list to be collected as other certify said
provided by law, and when collected to be credited to thee Water
Works Fund of said City, and assessment to be made over a ten-
year period.
