CA 1-1 o WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is, and has been, in the w n,RTccess of the planning of the Vision Iowa Project area located I r-Jc4iPark Avenue to the Cedar River, to West Mullan Avenue to `t'i, 0 EH." 410hway 218, which is funded in part by Vision Iowa funds, and L s H WHEREAS, the Vision Iowa Project commonly known as the Cedar mtWey River Renaissance Plan is one of the major projects along T nth there is potential for the development of various X businesses, which development will make a substantial impact upon Rag- City of Waterloo, and WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, by and through the statutes of the State of Iowa, is vested with the responsibility of developing plans regarding the development of the City of Waterloo, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, deems it to be in the best interests of all of the citizens that a plan should be developed in order to provide comprehensive, reasonable regulations for development along the Vision Iowa Project, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, believes that a variance to the 6-month moratorium should be declared for downtown development within the Vision Iowa Project area located on Park Avenue to the Cedar River, to West Mullan Avenue to Highway 218. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Community National Bank for a variance to the 6-month moratorium on downtown development within the Vision Iowa Project area, to allow remodeling of their bank located at Commercial Street and Park Avenue, in the amount of $150, 000. 00, be and the same is hereby approved.
