H A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE CONSTRUCTION OF
o ora s s A NEW INTERCHANGE AT U.S . HIGHWAY 20 AND

WHEREAS, the City has completed the Interchange
o ristification Study for the proposed interchange at U.S. 20 and
0Afisborough Avenue, and

Ec. WHEREAS, the Interchange Justification Study concluded that
he interchange is necessary to accomplish the land use plans
N adopted by the City and the MPO, and to attract the RISE
a44igible, value-added jobs to southwest Waterloo", and
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the Interchange
Justification Report for this proposed interchange, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized the Environmental
Assessment Study and Preliminary Design of the proposed
interchange.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the City intends to proceed with the
final design, right-of-way acquisition and construction of a new
interchange of U.S. Highway 20 and Ansborough Avenue. The
configuration and details of the proposed interchange will be
determined as part of the preliminary design and environmental
studies for the project.
