RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
AUGUST 16, 2021, TO APPROVE THE REQUEST BY THE
CITY OF WATERLOO TO REZONE APPROXIMATELY
THIRTY-TWO (32) ACRES FROM "A-1" AGRICULTURAL
DISTRICT AND "R-2" ONE AND TWO FAMILY RESIDENCE
DISTRICT TO "R-4,R-P" PLANNED MULTIPLE RESIDENCE
DISTRICT, TO ALLOW FOR A DAY CARE FACILITY, A
SENIOR ACTIVITY CENTER, AND FUTURE
DEVELOPMENT AREA, LOCATED NORTH OF 501
LAKESIDE STREET, AND INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK TO
PUBLISH NOTICE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa shall meet in the Harold E.
Getty Council Chambers at City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa at 5:30 p.m. on the 16th day of August
2021, to approve the request by the City of Waterloo to rezone approximately thirty-two (32)
acres from "A-1" Agricultural District and "R-2" One and Two Family Residence District to "R-
4,R-P" Planned Multiple Residence District, to allow for a day care facility, a senior activity
center, and future development area, located north of 501 Lakeside Street.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and place
of said hearing in the Waterloo Courier.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of August 2021.
