RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., SETTING
DATE OF BID OPENING AS AUGUST 5, 2021 AND DATE OF
PUBLIC HEARING AS AUGUST 16, 2021, IN CONJUNCTION
WITH ASBESTOS ABATEMENT SERVICES, CONTRACT
NO. AB-2021-08-5P FOR PROPERTIES LOCATED AT 200
MERRIMAN STREET, 1027 SYCAMORE STREET, 325 W.
13TH STREET, 321 W. 6TH STREET, AND 742 GRANT
AVENUE, AND INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH
NOTICE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the preliminary plans, specifications, form of contract, etc., in
conjunction with Asbestos Abatement Services, Contract No. AB-2021-08-5P for properties
located at 200 Merriman Street, 1027 Sycamore Street, 325 W. 13th Street, 321 W. 6th Street,
and 742 Grant Avenue, are hereby approved.
Section 2. That the bid opening, in conjunction with Asbestos Abatement Services,
Contract No. AB-2021-08-5P for properties located at 200 Merriman Street, 1027 Sycamore
Street, 325 W. 13th Street, 321 W. 6th Street, and 742 Grant Avenue, be scheduled for August 5,
2021 at 1:00 p.m., City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa.
Section 3. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, meet in the Harold E. Getty
Council Chambers at City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 16th day of August 2021, to
hold a public hearing, in conjunction with Asbestos Abatement Services, Contract No. AB-2021-
08-5P for properties located at 200 Merriman Street, 1027 Sycamore Street, 325 W. 13th Street,
321 W. 6th Street, and 742 Grant Avenue.
Section 4. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and place
of said hearing in the Waterloo Courier.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of August 2021.
