RESOLUTION NO. 2021-509
RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCE TO NOISE
ORDINANCE REQUEST FROM BRIAN HELMRICHS, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE CEDARLOO SLAM EVENT, TO BE
HELD AT RIVERSIDE SKATE PARK ON AUGUST 7, 2021
FROM 4:00 P.M. - 11:00 P.M., INCLUDING PRE-RECORDED
MUSIC, AND AN ANNOUNCER WITH THE USE OF A PA
SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, Brian Helmrichs is requesting a variance to the Noise Ordinance on August
7, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. — 11:00 p.m., in conjunction with the CedarLoo Slam event, to be held at
Riverside Skate Park, including a live DJ and use of a PA system.
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Brian Helmrichs for a variance to Ordinance No. 3094,
Noise Ordinance, in conjunction with the CedarLoo Slam event, to be held at Riverside Skate
Park, on August 7, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. — 11:00 p.m., including a live DJ and use of a PA
system, is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of August 2021.
