RESOLUTION NO. 2003-564
RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMISSION TO OPERATION
THRESHOLD FOR A WAIVER FOR A CONCRETE
DRIVEWAY TO BE LOCATED AT 226 HALSTEAD
STREET, AND AUTHORIZING CONSTRUCTION OF A
CONCRETE DRIVEWAY ON CITY RIGHT-OF-WAY ON AN
UNIMPROVED STREET.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made written application to
the City Council asking that Operation Threshold be authorized
and permitted to construct a concrete driveway on City right-of-
way on an unimproved street to be located at 226 Halstead Street,
and legally described as follows :
Shilliams Third Subdivision all of Lot 1 and that part
of Lot 2 Block 6 described as follows :
Beginning at the Northwest corner of said Lot 1 point
being %" Rebar License #3362 thence South 88°49' 0" East
along the North line of said Lot 1 132 . 35 feet
(recorded as 132 feet) to the Northeast corner of said
Lot 1 point being %" Rebar License #6505 thence South
along the East line of said Lots 1 and 2 89 . 94 feet to
%" Rebar License #6505 thence North 88°49' 30" West
132 . 35 feet to the West line of said Lot 2 point being
' Rebar License #6505 thence North along the East line
of said Lots 2 and 1 89 . 96 feet to the point of
beginning, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk
County, Iowa;
and
WHEREAS, it is the sense of the Council of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, that said request should be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that permission is
hereby granted to Operation Threshold to construct a concrete
driveway subject to the following conditions :
1 . Work to be performed by an approved and bonded
contractor.
2 . A permit is to be obtained from the office of the City
Engineer prior to construction.
3 . All work shall be performed under the supervision of
the City Engineer and at no cost to the City of
Waterloo.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is authorized and
directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the
Black Hawk County Recorder for recording and the Black Hawk
County Auditor for filing in order that this said action may
become a matter of official County Record.
