RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF ROLLING THUNDER

W o WHEREAS, Rolling Thunder IA is firing a Civil War cannon at
0S61 iers and Sailors Park for the Prisoners of War-Missing in
N ti'on Day, and

WHEREAS, said cannon firing will exceed the limits of the
Noise Ordinance, Ordinance No. 3094, and
WHEREAS, said Rolling Thunder IA has made formal application
for a variance to said Noise Ordinance, Ordinance No. 3094,
effective September 19, 2003 from 6: 00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA that the request of Rolling Thunder IA, for a
variance to Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, in conjunction
with firing a Civil War cannon at Soldiers and Sailors Park for
the Prisoners of War-Missing in Action Day on September 19, 2003
from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. be and the same hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 25th day of August, 2003.
