RESOLUTION NO. 2003-690
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE AND
CONVEYANCE OF PROPERTY GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS
PARCEL C OF WINGHAVEN DRIVE AS PLATTED IN THE
FIRST ADDITION TO KLINGAMAN KNOLLS ADDITION
FOR $1 . 00 AND OTHER VALUABLE CONSIDERATION,
PLUS COSTS, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER A DEED FOR
SAME.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is the owner of real
property in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, as described below, and
WHEREAS, an offer to purchase said certain parcel of real
property in the sum of $1. 00 and other valuable consideration,
plus costs, has been made by Young Development, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on October 13, 2003, at
5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers in City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa,
as provided by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
on the proposal to sell and convey premises owned by the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, to Young Development, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that sale and
conveyance should be made as proposed.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS FOLLOWS:
1 . The following described real property, as fully
described in the published notice in the Waterloo Courier on
September 30, 2003, is not presently needed and will not be
needed in the foreseeable future for municipal purposes and its
ownership is serving no municipal purpose, and
2. That the offer of Young Development to purchase real
property for the sum of $1 . 00, and other valuable consideration
and costs be, and it is hereby accepted for real property
described below:
Parcel "C" of Southeast ' Section 7 Township 88 North
Range 13 West
That part of Winghaven Drive as platted in First
Addition to Klingaman Knolls, Black Hawk County, Iowa,
(now in the City of Waterloo) , described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Winghaven Drive as
platted in said First Addition to Klingaman Knolls;
thence South 71°00' 47" West Eleven and Eight Tenths
(11. 80) feet along the Southeasterly line of said
Winghaven Drive; thence Northwesterly Thirty-six and
Eighty-four Hundredths (36. 84) feet along a One Hundred
Fifty-five and Forty-five Hundredths (155. 45) foot
radius curve, concave Southwesterly with a long chord
of Thirty-six and Seventy-five Hundredths (36. 75) feet
which bears North 45°28' 36" West to a point on the
Easterly line of said Winghaven Drive; thence
Southeasterly Forty-three and Forty-four Hundredths
(43. 44) feet along said Easterly line of Winghaven
Drive, said line being a One Hundred Seventy (170. 00)
foot radius curve, concave Northeasterly with a long
