co n WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa,

rit summarizing the evaluation of design alternatives for the
neid Ati orough Avenue/U. S . 20 Interchange Project, and

examined two alternatives, a standard diamond and a modified
dici4. for said Ansborough Avenue/U. S . 20 Interchange Project,

thc? � WREAS, the modified diamond does not contain any ramps in
Ot southwest quadrant where several residential properties are
located, and
WHEREAS, the Iowa Department of Transportation has indicated
a preference for standard diamond designs based on safety, driver
expectancy and care of maintenance .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the standard diamond design, be and the same
hereby approved as the final design for the Ansborough/U. S . 20
Interchange Project .
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of December, 2003 .
