M ;,r WHEREAS, Jim Blackledge on behalf of Roger and Janice Kalsem
has quested a variance to the timeline for the recording of the
�:FinalJPlat of Kalsem' s First Addition, and
WHEREAS, Subdivision Ordinance Section 2 . 4 (2a) requires that
a ,plat and accompanying documents be recorded within nine months
from the date of City Council approval, and
WHEREAS, as the date of approval by the Waterloo City Council
was January 8, 2001, and the nine month timeline has elapsed, and
WHEREAS, Section 1 . 14 (1) of the Subdivision Ordinance gives
the power for said variances to the Subdivision Ordinance to the
Waterloo City Council, and
WHEREAS, the Waterloo City Council feels that granting a
variance to said Subdivision Ordinance Section 2. 4 (2a) to allow
recording of the Final Plat of Kalsem' s First Addition after nine
months from date of approval by the City Council would be in the
best interest of its citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Jim Blackledge on behalf of
Roger and Janice Kalsem for a variance to Subdivision Ordinance
Section 2 . 4 (2a) requiring plat and accompanying documents to be
recorded within nine months of the date of City Council approval
to allow recording of the Final Plat of Kalsem' s First Addition
nine months after the January 8, 2001 approval by City Council, be
and the same is hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of January, 2002.
