RESOLUTION NO. 2002-88 RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION WITH BERNARD MCKINLEY JR. FOR TAX EXEMPTIONS ON IMPROVEMENTS TOTALING $8, 950. 00 FOR PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED NEAR THE CURVE WHERE WEST 5TH STREET CHANGES TO WEST 6TH STREET IN THE CONSOLIDATED URBAN REVITALIZATION AREA PLAN, IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA. WHEREAS, Bernard McKinley Jr. has submitted an application dated February 18, 2002 to the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, requesting to receive tax exemption on improvements totaling $8, 950.00 for property generally located near the curve where West 5th Street changes to West 6 h Street, more fully described as follows: Does Addition that part of Lot 9, Lot 8 and the South of Lot 7 Block 18 lying North of the following described line: Commencing at the Westerly corner of said South of Lot 7 thence South 56°03' 27" East 16.26 feet along Southwesterly line of Lot 7 to the point of beginning thence North 78°46' 59" East 58 . 66 feet thence Northeasterly 126. 19 feet along a 532. 96 foot radius curve concave Northerly the long chord of which bears North 71°59' 59" East 125. 90 feet to the point of teLinination on the Northeasterly line of Lot 9, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa; and, WHEREAS, said property is located within the designated Consolidated Urban Revitalization Area in Waterloo, Iowa, as previously established by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and, WHEREAS, the improvement project respecting said property is in conformance with the Consolidated Urban Revitalization Plan as officially adopted by the City Council for the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and WHEREAS, the improvements on said property were made during the time in which such improvements are eligible for the tax exemption as set forth in the Consolidated Urban Revitalization Plan as adopted by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and as set forth in the Urban Revitalization Act as adopted by the Legislature of the State of Iowa and signed by the Governor of the State of Iowa, and WHEREAS, said applicant is requesting the following exemption schedule: . ... ,Tho :egxseol:Fir.Otrih :1.1in2t0h02y-e8a8r c ....-N. - Cr', uiz r:=1, t----, 1,1 tr4 trj txl r-, - )--J- r '1‹ H E--, '1 0 t-,-.1 ,1-- `,11 t..L4 1,--i Lil S - ' r the first year 80% ,. ,.._ ‘.)
