(A I Q C) C ,`�' t� E1 „ `WHEREAS, Warrior Paintball is requesting a change of location 4 from Airline Highway to McElroy Auditorium on December 14, 2002, c�to hold an indoor paintball tournament at McElroy Auditorium, and 9 n WHEREAS, said company' s operations would be in violation of Section 5-2-6 of the 2001 Waterloo Code of Ordinances, which Prohibits Discharging of Firearms within the City, and WHEREAS, said company has made formal application for a variance to Section 5-2-6 of the 2001 Waterloo Code of Ordinances, which Prohibits Discharging of Firearms, within the City, and WHEREAS, Warrior Paintball has agreed to the following conditions in order to hold said tournament at McElroy Auditorium on December 14, 2002 : 1. Warrior Paintball will provide $1, 000, 000. 00 worth of liability insurance through National Paintball. 2. Warrior Paintball will install 20 feet of paintball approved stopper safety netting around the entire arena. 3. All participants will sign a waiver in accordance to insurance. 4 . Participants under the age of 18 will have waiver signed by parent. 5. No alcohol will be allowed before, during, or after events. 6. A first response vehicle will be present during the event. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA that the request of Warrior Paintball for a variance to Section 5-2-6 of the 2001 Waterloo Code of Ordinances, which Prohibits Discharging of Firearms within the City, for a change of location from Airline Highway to McElroy Auditorium on December 14, 2002, subject to the above listed conditions, to hold an indoor paintball tournament at McElroy Auditorium, be and the same hereby granted.
