s.o RESOLUTION APPROVING TEMPORARY PARKING ON THE
NORTH SIDE OF THE 500 BLOCK OF MAXWELL STREET.

o c WHEREAS, Grace Reformed Church, 510 Maxwell Street, has
requested that parking be temporarily allowed on the north side of
the 500 block of Maxwell Street during construction on the church,

WHEREAS, equipment and materials are blocking most of Grace
Re 'oLmed Church' s parking lot making it difficult for members to
find parking during the week for meetings, Bible studies,
funerals, etc. , and
WHEREAS, parking is allowed on the south side of Maxwell
Street, .and
WHEREAS, allowing parking on the north side of the 500 block
of Maxwell Street should not cause a problem as the street is wide
enough to allow emergency vehicles to pass through.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Grace Reformed Church to
temporarily allow parking on the north side of the 500 Block of
Maxwell Street until completion of construction on Grace Reformed
Church, be and the same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Sign and Traffic staff be
instructed to temporarily remove the No Parking Except Sunday
signs on the north side of the 500 block of Maxwell Street.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of April, 2002 .
