WHEREAS, Graystar Corporation has requested to temporarily

the southeasterly four hundred feet of alley adjacent to
trAiaatk property generally located between Linden Avenue and
0F0wIer Street in conjunction with construction of an addition to
ctrt4e ,4amark facility, and

,..WHEREAS, due to the logistics of the mass excavation,
„.underground utility, and staging areas for construction, the area
will become very limited in nature, and
WHEREAS, Graystar Corporation is in need of the alley area to
set up an office for management purposes for the project, and
WHEREAS, the alleyway will remain open from Linden Avenue to
allow emergency vehicles to have access to the buildings in that
area, and
WHEREAS, said alleyway area to be closed off runs along the
railroad tracks and no buildings or structures are present, and
WHEREAS, the time duration for the closure of said alley will
be approximately from mid-May to mid-October, 2002 pending weather
and final completion of the building and parking improvements, and
WHEREAS, Graystar Corporation will accept responsibility for
repairs to any damage caused to the alleyways caused by the
construction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Graystar Corporation to
temporarily close the southeasterly four hundred feet of alley
adjacent to Aramark property generally located between Linden
Avenue and Fowler Street in conjunction with construction of an
addition to the Aramark facility, be and the same is hereby
approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of May, 2002.
