RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING
AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE PROPOSED
DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT WITH GRAY TRANSPORTATION
TO SELL AND CONVEY FOR $1 . 00 PROPERTY LOCATED IN
THE NORTHEAST INDUSTRIAL PARK PLAT NO. 1 TO
BUILD AN 18, 000 SQUARE FOOT FACILITY, AS JULY 8,
2002, AT 5:30 P.M. IN CITY HALL COUNCIL
CHAMBERS, WATERLOO, IOWA AND INSTRUCTING THE
CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH THE NOTICE OF HEARING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa
shall meet at City Hall Council Chambers in the City of Waterloo,
Iowa at 5: 30 p.m. on the 8th day of July, 2002, for the purpose of
considering and acting upon a proposed development agreement with
Gray Transportation to sell and convey for $1 . 00 property located
in the Northeast Industrial Park Plat No. 1 to build an 18, 000
square foot facility, with minimum assessment of $1, 200, 000. 00 and
industrial tax rebates for five years at 50 percent, and legally
described as follows:
A parcel of land located in part of Lots 6 and 7,
Northeast Industrial Park Plat No. 1, Waterloo, Black
Hawk County, Iowa, and part of Lot 12, Northeast
Industrial Park Plat No. 3, Waterloo, Black Hawk County,
Iowa, described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of said Lot 6; thence
North 89°34' 40" East along the Northerly line of said
Lot 6 a distance of 642 . 05 feet to the Northeast corner
of said Lot 6; thence North 89°34' 40" East a distance of
300. 00 feet to the East line of said Lot 7; thence South
00°25' 20" East along the East line of said Lot 7 a
distance of 225. 00 feet; thence South 89°34' 40" West a
distance of 360. 00 feet; thence South 00°25' 20" East a
distance of 285. 00 feet to the Southerly line of said
Lot 6, which is also the Northeast corner of said Lot
12; thence South 00°25' 20" East long the East line of
said Lot 12 a distance of 160. 00 feet; thence South
89°34' 40" West a distance of 478 . 12 feet to the Westerly
line of said Lot 12; thence North 16°47' 09" West along
the Westerly line of said Lots 12 and 6 a distance of
380. 77 feet; thence North 00°12' 30" East along Westerly
line of said Lot 6 a distance of 304 . 67 feet to the
point of beginning.
The Northerly line of said Lot 6 is assumed to bear
North 89°34' 40" East, all in the City of Waterloo, Black
Hawk County, Iowa.
Section 2 . That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
notice of the time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo
Courier.
