RESOLUTION NO. 2002-516
RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE SALE
AND CONVEYANCE OF PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED
NORTHEAST OF THE INTERSECTION OF WEST 4TH
STREET AND SKYLINE DRIVE TO ALAN AND
JACQUELINE NICKS AS SEPTEMBER 9, 2002, AT
5: 30 P.M. IN CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS,
WATERLOO, IOWA AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK
TO PUBLISH THE NOTICE OF HEARING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1 . That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa
shall meet at City Hall Council Chambers in the City of Waterloo,
Iowa at 5 : 30 p.m. on the 9th day of September, 2002, for the
purpose of considering and acting upon a proposal to sell and
convey property generally located northeast of the intersection
of West 4 h Street and Skyline Drive to Alan and Jacqueline
Nicks, and legally described as follows :
That part of the Northeast Quarter of Section No. 7,
Township No. 88 North, Range No. 13 West of the Fifth
Principal Meridian, Black Hawk County, Iowa, described
as follows:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of said Northeast
Quarter; thence South 1°23' 07" East along the East line
of said Northeast corner 1320. 66 feet to the point of
intersection of the centerline of the former West 4th
Street; thence South 36°13' 13" West along the former
centerline of West 4th Street 54 . 08 feet to the West
right of way line of Hoff Road (now also known as West
4th Street) and the point of beginning; thence South
1°23' 07" East along said West line of Hoff Road 54 . 08
feet to the former Southeasterly right of way line of
West 4th Street; thence South 36°13' 13" West along said
former Southeasterly right of way 341 . 47 feet to a
point 50 feet Northeasterly of the centerline of Sky
Line Drive; thence North 53°46' 47" West along a line
parallel with and 50 feet Northeasterly of the
centerline of Sky Line Drive 41 . 50 feet; thence North
36°13' 13" East along a line 8 . 50 feet Northwesterly and
parallel with the former centerline of West 4th Street
395. 35 feet to the West right of way line of Hoff Road;
thence South 1°23' 07" East along said West line of Hoff
Road 13. 93 feet to the point of beginning, containing
0.351 acres subject to easement and restrictions of
record, subject to the city' s retention of a utility
easement over, under and above the above described
property, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk
County, Iowa;
for $458 .70, plus costs.
Section 2 . That the City Clerk is hereby directed to
publish notice of the time and place of said hearing in the
Waterloo Courier.
