s WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall
meet in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, at 5: 30 p.m. on the 30th day of September, 2002,
for the purpose of considering and acting upon an application of
Gene Sheetz to rezone from "C-1" Commercial District to "M-1"
Light Industrial District property generally located northeast of
the intersection of Dubuque Road and Rooff Avenue for the purpose
of constructing a mini-storage facility, legally described as
follows:
A survey of Lots 23 and 24 of Sunshine Subdivision in
the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, and the
adjacent West half of the former Illinois Central
Railroad right of way, more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of said Lot 23, thence
South 00°02' 08" East 99. 60 feet along the west line of
said Lots 23 and 24; thence North 89°59' 41" East 170. 14
feet; thence North 00°02' 08" West 99. 60 feet along the
centerline of said former railroad right of way; thence
South 89°59' 41" West 170. 14 feet to the point of
beginning, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk
County, Iowa.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
Notice of the time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo
Courier.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of September, 2002 .
