ru C rWHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has
.4dopted an Ordinance embargoing truck traffic on Rainbow Drive
trifrom Greenhill Road to Hanna Boulevard, known as Section 574, of
Ordinance No. 3842, as amended, Traffic Ordinance, and
(WHEREAS, Northland Products Company has requested a variance
to said Ordinance in conjunction with F.Y. 2003 Hanna
Boulevard/Rainbow Drive Box Culvert - Phase II and Rainbow Drive
Box Culvert-Castle Hill Watershed, Contract No. 639, from
September 30, 2002 through November 1, 2002, with said Northland
Products Company required to make requests on a daily, as-needed
basis, with a 24-hour advance notice to the Engineering and
Police Departments and to provide a list and description of those
trucks using the above streets .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that a variance to Section 574, of
Ordinance No. 3842, as amended, Traffic Ordinance, be granted as
requested.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of September, 2002 .
