RESOLUTION NO. 2001-132
RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE
VACATION, SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF ALLEYS
GENERALLY LOCATED IN BLOCK 7 AND BLOCK 8 OF
ROSE HILL FIRST ADDITION AND ASH STREET
BETWEEN SUMNER STREET AND COTTAGE STREET TO
THE WATERLOO COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT AS MAY
14, 2001, AT 5: 30 P.M. IN CITY HALL COUNCIL
CHAMBERS, WATERLOO, IOWA AND INSTRUCTING THE
CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH THE NOTICE OF HEARING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa
shall meet at City Hall Council Chambers in the City of Waterloo,
Iowa at 5: 30 p.m. on the 14th day of May, 2001, for the purpose of
considering and acting upon a proposal to vacate, sell and convey
alleys generally located in Block 7 and Block 8 of Rose Hill First
Addition and Ash Street between Sumner Street and Cottage Street to
the Waterloo Community School District, and legally described as
follows:
The alley as platted in "Rose Hill First Addition" to
the City of Waterloo, Iowa, Block Seven (7) , lying
between Sumner Street and vacated Cottage Street;
and, also
That alley as platted in "Rose Hill First Addition" to
the City of Waterloo, Iowa, Block Eight (8) , lying
between Sumner Street and Cottage Street, subject to the
City' s retention of a permanent utility easement over,
under and above the above described property;
and, also
Ash Street, as platted in "Rose Hill First Addition" to
the City of Waterloo, Iowa, lying between Sumner Street
and Cottage Street, all in the City of Waterloo, Black
Hawk County, Iowa;
for $1 . 00, plus costs .
Section 2 . That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
notice of the time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo
Courier.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of April, 2001 .
