RESOLUTION NO. 2001-159
RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ACCEPTING DEED OF
DEDICATION FROM DEERE AND COMPANY.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
that Deed of Dedication, dated April 16, 2001, from Deere and
Company conveying unto the City of Waterloo, Iowa, certain real
property, described as follows:
A parcel of land located in the Southwest 1/ of Section
1, Township 88 North, Range 14 West of the Fifth
Principal Meridian, Black Hawk County, Iowa, more
particularly described as follows :
Commencing at the Northeast corner of the Southwest
of said Section 1; thence South 00°29' 13" East (assumed
bearing for the purpose of this description) on the
East line of the Southwest 1/ of said Section 1 a
distance of 260 .22 feet to the present North
right-of-way line of U. S. Highway 20; thence North
82°12' 21" West on the present North right-of-way line
of U. S. Highway 20 a distance of 33 . 35 feet to the
point of beginning of the parcel of land herein
described; thence continuing North 82°12' 21" West on
the present North right-of-way line of U. S. Highway 20
a distance of 32 . 59 feet; thence North 67°40' 10" east a
distance of 34 . 74 feet to the present West right-of-way
line of Dewitt Road; thence South 00°29' 13" East on the
present West right-of-way line of Dewitt Road a
distance of 17 . 62 feet to the point of beginning, all
in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
Containing 284 square feet, or 0 . 01 acre.
and, also
A parcel of land located in the Southwest 1/ of Section
1, the Northwest Fractional 1/ of Section 1, and the
Northeast Fractional 1/ of Section 2, all in Township 88
North, Range 14 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian,
Black Hawk County, Iowa, more particularly described as
follows:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of the Southwest 1/
of said Section 1; thence South 00°29' 3" East (assumed
bearing for the purpose of this description) on the
East line of the Southwest 1/ of said Section 1 a
distance of 260.22 feet to the present North
right-of-way line of U. S. Highway 20; thence North
82°12' 21" West on the present North right-of-way line
of U. S. Highway 20 a distance of 302 . 76 feet to the
point of beginning of the parcel of land herein
described; thence continuing North 82°12' 21" West on
the present North right-of-way line of U. S. Highway 20
a distance of 286. 01 feet; thence North 88°56' 58" West
on the present North right-of-way line of U. S. Highway
20 a distance of 707 . 12 feet (707 . 18 feet record) ;
thence North 83°07' 48" West on the present North
right-of-way line of U. S. Highway 20 a distance of

thence South 88°51' 45" East a distance of 607 . 65 feet;
thence South 84°04' 27" East a distance of 148 .26 feet;
thence South 64°53' 29" East a distance of 146. 12 feet
to the point of beginning, all in the City of Waterloo,
Black Hawk County, Iowa.
Containing 109, 134 square feet, or 2 . 51 acres;
be and the same is hereby approved and accepted in
conjunction with the Cedar Prairie Trail/Sergeant Road
Connection.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of April, 2001, and approved
by the Mayor Pro Tem on the 18th day of April, 2001 .
