Discussion of an amendment to the Shared Mobility Device ordinance. Martin Petersen, City Attorney, reviewed proposed changes to the shared mobility device ordinance with the council. Department update from the Waterloo Human Rights Commission. Abraham Funchess, Executive Director of the Waterloo Human Rights Commission, provided an overview of department operations. City council members discussed Waterloo Human Rights Commission department operations with Director Funchess. Presentation from University of Iowa Initiative for Sustainable Communities. Travis Krause, Associate Professor. School of Planning & Public Affairs Director, Iowa Initiative for Sustainable Communities, provided an overview of the partnership established between the University of Iowa and the City of Waterloo to work on twenty-eight projects undertaken by 146 students and faculty members. 160213 - Juon/Grieder that the meeting be adjourned at 4:37 p.m. Voice -vote Ayes: Seven.
