RESOLUTION NO. 2001-216
RESOLUTION APPROVING AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
ADMINISTRATION, U.S. DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE
GRANT APPLICATION; DESIGNATING THE MAYOR AS
THE OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVE OF THE CITY AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO AFFIX HIS SIGNATURE
TO SAID APPLICATION AND CERTAIN ASSURANCES IN
CONJUNCTION WITH SAME.
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, to avail itself of financial assistance through the Economic
Development Administration; and
WHEREAS, the Economic Development Administration Public Works
grant application best addresses the needs of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, as follows :
1 . Application for an Economic Development
Administration Public Works Grant is hereby
authorized.
2 . The Mayor is hereby designated as the official
representative of the City and is further hereby
directed and authorized to affix his signature to
said application and certain Federal and State
assurance in conjunction with same.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of May, 2001 .
