RESOLUTION NO. 2001-240
RESOLUTION GRANTING VARIANCE TO SECTION 574,
OF ORDINANCE NO. 3842, AS AMENDED, TRUCK
ORDINANCE (TRUCK EMBARGO) ON VARIOUS STREETS
IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has
adopted an Ordinance embargoing truck traffic on Leversee Road,
known as Section 574, of Ordinance No. 3842, as amended, Traffic
Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, the Waterloo Airport has requested a variance to said
Ordinance during the reconstruction of a portion of Taxiway D at
the Waterloo Airport, from June 1, 2001 through October 1, 2001,
with said Waterloo Airport required to make requests on a daily,
as-needed basis, with a 24-hour advance notice to the Engineering
and Police Departments and to provide a list and description of
those trucks using the above streets .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that a variance to Section 574, of
Ordinance No. 3842, as amended, Traffic Ordinance, be granted as
requested.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of May 2001 .
