U E—+ cr tT; J tri - Co cr CT RESOLUTION NO. 2001-384 -1, E' 0 Hi tT' 01- a it U Cl H Y- RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 0 E-H tri c . >4 k c� WATERLOO, IOWA APPROVING APPLICATION TO THE C, tx .1F-i IOWA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES FOR c' :-� r , Cis RESOURCE ENHANCEMENT AND PROTECTION (REAP) s tr' ;r FUNDING AND DIRECTING EXECUTION OF SAID i-i G o rz : APPLICATION BY MAYOR. 00 it '— Et ti] .r' v WHEREAS, the State of Iowa has created and developed the ` Resource Enhancement and Protection (REAP) program under the Department of Natural Resources, and WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo has entered into an agreement with the Cedar Valley Arboretum and Botanic Gardens, and WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is in full support of the development of the Arboretum and Botanic Gardens, and WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is willing to maintain the Arboretum and its associated facilities in the case of the Cedar Valley Arboretum and Botanic Gardens becoming unable to do so as set out in the official agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF WATERLOO, IOWA hereby authorizes the Mayor to sign the application to be submitted to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources for REAP funding. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Iowa Northland Regional Council of Governments is hereby authorized to submit said application to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa and the Cedar Valley Arboretum and Botanic Gardens.
