RESOLUTION NO. 2001-531
RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE
VACATION, SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF A PORTION OF
THE EAST-WEST ALLEY GENERALLY LOCATED BETWEEN
ADRIAN AND IDAHO STREETS, SOUTH OF ARCHER
AVENUE TO LEE AND MARK BERTHOLF, JOANNE
BERNARD, BETTY MANROSS, KAREN FLOOD AND MARLA
HEATH AS OCTOBER 15, 2001, AT 5 : 30 P.M. IN
CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS, WATERLOO, IOWA
AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH THE
NOTICE OF HEARING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1 . That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa
shall meet at City Hall Council Chambers in the City of Waterloo,
Iowa at 5 :30 p.m. on the 15th day of October, 2001, for the
purpose of considering and acting upon a proposal to vacate a
portion of the east-west alley generally located between Adrian
and Idaho Streets, south of Archer Avenue, described as follows :
The 16 foot wide alley as platted in Block 2 of
Schulers Subdivision of Block 21 of Linden Place, all
in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa;
and also, sell and convey the vacated east-west alley generally
located between Adrian and Idaho Streets, south of Archer Avenue
to Marla Heath, described as follows :
That part of the North one-half of the vacated 16 foot
wide alley as platted in Block 2 of Schulers
Subdivision of Block 21 of Linden Place that lies East
of the East line of Adrian Street and West of a line
drawn from the Southeasterly corner of Lot 3 said block
to the Northeasterly corner of Lot 6 said block, all in
the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa;
for $100 . 00, plus costs .
and also, sell and convey the vacated east-west alley generally
located between Adrian and Idaho Streets, south of Archer Avenue
to Lee and Mark Bertholf, described as follows :
That part of the South one-half of vacated 16 foot wide
alley as platted in Block 2 of Schulers Subdivision of
Block 21 of Linden Place that lies East of the East
line of Adrian Street and West of a line drawn from the
Southeasterly corner of Lot 3 said block to the
Northeasterly corner of Lot 6 said block, all in the
City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa;
for $100 . 00, plus costs .
and also, sell and convey the vacated east-west alley generally
located between Adrian and Idaho Streets, south of Archer Avenue
to Karen Flood, described as follows :
That part of the North one-half of the vacated 16 foot

in Block 2 of Schulers Subdivision of Block 21 of
Linden Place that lies East of a line drawn from the
southeast corner of Lot 2 said block to the Northeast
corner of Lot 7 said block and West of the West line of
Idaho Street, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk
County, Iowa;
for $100 . 00, plus costs .
Section 2 . That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
notice of the time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo
Courier.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of September, 2001 .
