RESOLUTION NO. 2001-550
RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE
VACATION, SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF A PORTION OF
THE NORTH-SOUTH RIGHT-OF-WAY GENERALLY
LOCATED ALONG GREENHILL ROAD NEAR THE WOULD
BE INTERSECTION OF FIELD STREET TO DIRK AND
JULIE DOWNS AS OCTOBER 22, 2001, AT 5 :30 P.M.
IN CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS, WATERLOO, IOWA
AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH THE
NOTICE OF HEARING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1 . That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa
shall meet at City Hall Council Chambers in the City of Waterloo,
Iowa at 5 :30 p.m. on the 22nd day of October, 2001, for the
purpose of considering and acting upon a proposal to vacate, sell
and convey a portion of the north-south right-of-way generally
located along Greenhill Road near the would be intersection of
Field Street to Dirk and Julie Downs, and legally described as
follows :
That part of Greenhill Road in the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, described as follows :
Beginning at the Southeast (SE) corner of Parcel "A" of
the Northwest Quarter (NW%) of Section Twenty-one (21) ,
Township Eighty-nine North (T89N) , Range Thirteen West
(R13W) , Black Hawk County, Iowa, as recorded in Misc.
338, Page 827, at the Black Hawk County, Iowa,
Recorders Office thence North 00°00' 00" One Hundred
Twenty-seven and Sixty Hundredths (127 . 60) feet along
the Easterly line of said Parcel "A" , said East line
also being the West right-of-way line of Greenhill
Road; thence North 09°15'43" East Two Hundred Twenty-
five and Fifty-four Hundredths (225 . 54) feet along said
right-of-way line; thence South 00°02 ' 57" East Two
Hundred Twenty-two and Thirty-four Hundredths (222 . 34)
feet; thence South 08°08' Ol" West One Hundred Twenty-
nine and Twenty-two Hundredths (129 . 22) feet to the
Northeast Corner (NE) of Lot Twenty-five (25) in
Hickory Court Addition, Black Hawk County, Iowa; thence
North 89°49' 52" West Eighteen and Twenty-one Hundredths
(18 . 21) feet along the North line of said Lot 25 to the
point of beginning, containing 0 . 17 acres, all in the
City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa;
for $1, 184 . 80, plus costs.
Section 2 . That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
notice of the time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo
Courier.
