> Was let in Fall of 2001. Anticipated completion is Summer 2002.
> This project is included in the city 2002 budget(bonds) with a match of$101,078.58.
> The City is dedicated to repairing the recreational trail bridge over Black Hawk Creek with this project.
Anticipated costs to the city are$55,000. This amount is included in the city 2002 budget.
Donald Street
> Anticipated to be let in 2004. City will begin work on discussions with neighbors (as it goes in front yards)
and preliminary design ahead of that time.
> This project would need to be included in the city 2004 budget(bonds) with a match of$140,000.
➢ This project includes$150,000 for 2003 and$114,000 for 2004 in Surface Transportation Program funds
allocated by the Metropolitan Planning Organization.
River walk
➢ Anticipated to be let in Summer of 2003. This is a part of the Vision Iowa Funds and the timely completion of
the trail is contingent upon award of these funds.
> This project would need to be included in the 2003-2005 budgets (bonds),with an estimated cost of$3,567,000
(with$2,000,000 in Vision Iowa funds).
Cedar River Trail
> Anticipated to be let in summer of 2002. City has already begun nonparticipating design (by Earthtech) to
expedite trail completion.
> This project is included in the city 2002 budget(bonds) with a match of$206,647.00.
> This project includes$150,000 in local enhancement funds for 2002 (allocated by Metropolitan Planning
Organization) and$328,000 in State enhancements funds (grant)for 2002.
218/CVLT Phase I
> Anticipated to be let in Summer 2002. City is currently working to get design done (by Earthtech).
➢ This project is included in the city 2002 budget(bonds)with a match of$184,501.00.
> This project includes$505,000 in State enhancement funds.
Trolley Car Trail
➢ Will be let with the 218/CVLT Phase Ito get a better bid
> This project is included in the city 2002 budget(bonds)with a match of$25,785.00.
> This project includes$136,000 in local enhancement funds for 2001 (allocated by the Metropolitan Planning
Organization).

Sergeant Road resurfacing
> City applied for National Recreational Trails Program grant last month. If awarded,funds would be available
in October 2002,with anticipated letting in summer of 2003.
➢ This project would need to be included in the city 2003 budget(bonds)with a match of$72,000.00.
18th Street Bridge
> The 18th Street Bridge estimates for design(currently working to begin public hearings for design) included a
trail on one side of the bridge,with a recreational trail being extended to the 218 trail thus,eliminating the
temporary Black Hawk Street segment.
> The 18th Street Bridge funds have been awarded and we are working to get under design. The first public
meeting is anticipated to be set for November 8th.
