RESOLUTION APPROVING COMBINING OF TOWNSHIP AND

CITY PRECINCTS, WHICH INCLUDE WATERLOO WARD 3,

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has

1' con8idered combining Township and City precincts, and
cg WHEREAS, Black Hawk County and the City of Waterloo agree
c-dpori a combined voting precinct as Waterloo Ward 3, Precinct 1 and
:,:-.•,East Waterloo Township, Precinct 2 which includes the following
cL'political subdivisions: Waterloo Ward 3, Precinct 1 and
1--iunincorporated East Waterloo Township, Precinct 2, pursuant to
Iowa Code Chapter 49. 6 based on the results of the 2000 Federal
Decennial Census, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
deems it in the best interest of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, to
approve said combining of Township and City Precincts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that combining of Township and City
precincts which include Waterloo Ward 3, Precinct 1 and East
Waterloo Township, Precinct 2 is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10th day of December, 2001 .
