RESOLUTION NO. 2000-16
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF CULTURAL AND
ARTS DIRECTOR FOR $6, 000 . 00 FROM THE
HOTEL/MOTEL TAX DISCRETIONARY FUND TO BE USED
FOR A BUSINESS PLAN IN CONJUNCTION WITH
COMMUNITY ATTRACTION AND TOURISM GRANT
APPLICATION.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
that the request of Cultural and Arts Director for $6, 000 . 00 from
the Hotel/Motel Tax discretionary fund to be used for a business
plan in conjunction with a Community Attraction and Tourism grant
application with the Iowa Department of Economic Development in
the amount of $3 , 000, 000 . 00 for renovation projects at the
Waterloo Center for the Arts, the Great Western Depot,
amphitheater, public market and plaza, the Grout Museum, and the
African-American Museum, be and the same is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this loth day of January, 2000 .
