RESOLUTION NO. 2000-27
RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE "M-2, P"
PLANNED INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT SITE PLAN
AMENDMENT FOR NATIONAL CATTLE CONGRESS FOR
PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED AT 3250 GREYHOUND
DRIVE AS FEBRUARY 7, 2000, AT 7 : 00 P.M. IN
THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS AND INSTRUCTING CITY
CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF HEARING.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall
meet in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, at 7 : 00 p.m. on the 7th day of February, 2000,
for the purpose of considering a proposed "M-2, P" Planned
Industrial site plan amendment for National Cattle Congress for
property generally located at 3250 Greyhound Drive for reuse of
the Greyhound Park for construction of a racetrack facility, and
legally described as follows :
The Northeast k of the Southwest 1/ of Section 6
Township 88 Range 13 : also, part of the Northwest 1/ of
the Southeast k of said section described as follows;
Beginning at the Northwest corner of the Northwest 1/ of
the Southeast 14, thence East 100 feet along the
Northerly line of the Northwest of the Southeast ;1,
thence 1069 . 31 feet along a line parallel with the
westerly line of the Northwest 1,1 of the Southeast k to
the beginning of a curve concave northeasterly having a
radius of 686. 62 feet, thence Southeasterly 259 . 10 feet
along said curve to a point on the Southerly line of
the Northwest k of the Southeast 1/ which point is
148 . 31 feet Easterly from the Southwest corner of the
Northwest k of the Southeast 14, thence West 148 . 31
feet, thence North 1322 . 37 feet to the point of
beginning, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk
County, Iowa.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
notice of the time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo
Courier.
