RESOLUTION NO. 2000-45
RESOLUTION MAKING AWARD OF CONTRACT TO MCMAINS
EXCAVATION DEMOLITION AND ABATEMENT (M.E.D.A)
OF MOULTON, IOWA, FOR RATH VERTICAL KILL
BUILDING ASBESTOS REMOVAL PROJECT, CDBG-112-
AR-1-18-00, IN THE AMOUNT OF $34, 776. 00.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
That the bid of McMains Excavation Demolition and Abatement
(M.E.D.A) of Moulton, Iowa, in the amount of $34, 776. 00, for the
Rath Vertical Kill Building Asbestos Removal Project, CDBG-11.2 -
1-18-00, described in the plans and specifications heretofore
adopted by this Council for said project, after public hearing on
published notice required by law, be and is hereby accepted, the
same being the lowest bid received for said work.
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby directed to execute
contract with the said contractor for said improvements, said
contract not to be binding on the City until approved by this
Council.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of January, 2000 .
