RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCE TO NOISE
ORDINANCE REQUEST FROM CHRIS KREMER ON
BEHALF OF UNI/GALLAGHER BLUEDORN, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE HIGHLAND PARK
NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY, TO BE HELD ON
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2021, FROM 2:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M.
AT HIGHLAND SQUARE PARK, INCLUDING A LIVE BAND
WITH AN OUTDOOR PA SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, Chris Kremer, on behalf of UNI/Gallagher Bluedorn, is requesting a
variance to the Noise Ordinance on September 24, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. at Highland
Square Park, in conjunction with the Highland Park Neighborhood Block Party, including a live
band and use of a PA system, together with the recommendation and approval of the Captain of
Police Services, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Chris Kremer, on behalf of UNI/Gallagher Bluedorn,
for a variance to the Noise Ordinance, on September 24, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. at
Highland Square Park, in conjunction with the Highland Park Neighborhood Block Party,
including a live band and use of a PA system, is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of August 2021.
