RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCE TO NOISE
ORDINANCE REQUEST FROM GINGER SHIRLEY IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE KOINONIA MINISTRIES FALL
GOSPEL BAPTIST CHURCH EVENT, TO BE HELD ON
SUNDAY, AUGUST 22, 2021, FROM 11:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
AT 2222 FALLS AVENUE, INCLUDING MUSIC AND THE
USE OF A PA SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, Ginger Shirley is requesting a variance to the Noise Ordinance on Sunday,
August 22, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at 2222 Falls Avenue, in conjunction with the
Koinonia Ministries Fall Gospel Baptist Church event, including music and use of a PA system,
together with the recommendation and approval of the Captain of Police Services, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Ginger Shirley, for a variance to the Noise Ordinance
on August 22, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at 2222 Falls Avenue, in conjunction with the
Koinonia Ministries Fall Gospel Baptist Church event, including music and use of a PA system,
is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of August 2021.
