RESOLUTION NO. 2021-545
RESOLUTION AWARDING BID TO SITE SERVICES, INC.,
OF ALGONA, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $6,690, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH ASBESTOS ABATEMENT SERVICES,
CONTRACT NO. AB-2021-08-5P, FOR PROPERTY LOCATED
AT 200 MERRIMAN STREET, 1027 SYCAMORE STREET, 325
W. 13TH STREET, 321 W. 6TH STREET, AND 742 GRANT
AVENUE, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, Site Services, Inc., of Algona, Iowa, submitted a bid in the amount of
$6,690, in conjunction with Asbestos Abatement Services Contract No. AB-2021-08-5P, for
property located at 200 Merriman Street, 1027 Sycamore Street, 325 W. 13th Street, 321 W. 6th
Street, and 742 Grant Avenue, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Site Services, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of
insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2021-544, after public hearing on August 16, 2021, in conjunction with the
Asbestos Abatement Services Contract No. AB-2021-08-5P, for property located at 200
Merriman Street, 1027 Sycamore Street, 325 W. 13th Street, 321 W. 6th Street, and 742 Grant
Avenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Site Services, Inc., in the amount of $6,690, in conjunction with Asbestos
Abatement Services Contract No. AB-2021-08-5P, for property located at 200 Merriman Street,
1027 Sycamore Street, 325 W. 13th Street, 321 W. 6th Street, and 742 Grant Avenue, is hereby
awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Site Services, Inc., in
conjunction with Asbestos Abatement Services Contract No. AB-2021-08-5P, for property
located at 200 Merriman Street, 1027 Sycamore Street, 325 W. 13th Street, 321 W. 6th Street,
and 742 Grant Avenue, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of August 2021.
