RESOLUTION NO. 2000-233
RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING TO BE GIVEN ON APPLICATION OF TARGET
CORPORATION TO REZONE FROM "R-4" MULTIPLE
FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT TO "C-2" COMMERCIAL
DISTRICT PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED NORTHWEST
OF SAN MARNAN DRIVE AND WEST OF SEARS STREET,
AS JUNE 5, 2000, AT 5: 30 P.M. IN THE COUNCIL
CHAMBERS IN CITY HALL AND INSTRUCTING CITY
CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF HEARING.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall meet
in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, at 5: 30 p.m. on the 5th day of June, 2000, for the purpose of
considering and acting upon an application of Target Corporation to
rezone from "R-4" Multiple Family Residence District to "C-2"
Commercial District property generally located northwest of San
Marnan Drive and west of Sears Street, and legally described as
follows:
A part of Tract `A' , Hurst Addition to Waterloo, Iowa
and a part of West One-half of Section 2, Township 88
North, Range 13 West of the 5th Principal Meridian,
Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, all more particularly
described as follows :
Commencing at a point of reference at the center of said
Section 2; Thence North 0°19' 43" West 282 . 68 feet along
the East line of the Northwest Fractional Quarter of
said Section 2 to the point of beginning, thence South
89°38' 52" West 50. 61 feet; thence South 48°20' 48" West
546.40 feet; thence North 0°06' 37" West 736. 01 feet;
thence North 89°53' 23" East 458 . 14 feet to a point of
intersection with the East line of said Northwest
Fractional Quarter; thence South 0°19' 43" East 373 . 44
feet along said East line to the point of beginning, all
in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
Said parcel contains 5. 63 acres more or less and is
subject to easements and restrictions of record.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
Notice of the time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo
Courier.
