RESOLUTION NO. 2000-280
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE "M-2, P" PLANNED
INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT SITE PLAN AMENDMENT FOR
GERARD R. THIEL FOR PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED
AT GREYHOUND PARK.
WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the Council of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, approve a "M-2, P" Planned Industrial District site
plan amendment for Gerard R. Thiel, generally located at Greyhound
Park and legally described as follow:
The Northeast y of the Southwest '4 of Section 6 Township
88 Range 13: also, part of the Northwest 1/ of the
Southeast 14 of said section described as follows;
Beginning at the Northwest corner of the Northwest '4 of
the Southeast 14, thence East 100 feet along the
Northerly line of the Northwest 1/ of the Southeast ;4,
thence 1069. 31 feet along a line parallel with the
westerly line of the Northwest 1/ of the Southeast 1/ to
the beginning of a curve concave northeasterly having a
radius of 686. 62 feet, thence Southeasterly 259. 10 feet
along said curve to a point on the Southerly line of the
Northwest '4 of the Southeast 1/ which point is 148 . 31
feet Easterly from the Southwest corner of the Northwest
1/ of the Southeast '4, thence West 148 .31 feet, thence
North 1322 . 37 feet to the point of beginning, all in the
City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on May 22, 2000, at 5: 30
p.m. at City Hall Council Chambers, Waterloo, Iowa, as provided by
law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on the proposal
to approve said above mentioned site plan amendment, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that said site plan
amendment should be approved as proposed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the "M-2, P" Planned Industrial District
site plan amendment for Gerard R. Thiel for property generally
located at Greyhound Park, be and the same is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of May, 2000, and approved by
the Mayor this 24th day of May, 2000.
