RESOLUTION NO. 2000-286
RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMISSION TO JEFF,
SWARTZENDRUBER FOR PLACEMENT OF A 4 X 4 STOOP
ON CITY RIGHT OF WAY TO BE LOCATED AT 1224
LAPORTE ROAD.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made written application to
the City Council asking that Jeff Swartzendruber be authorized and
permitted to construct a 4 x 4 stoop on city right-of-way to be
located at 1224 LaPorte Road, and legally described as follows :
Unplatted Waterloo West part Southeast Northwest
Southeast Section 36 Township 89 Range 13 commencing at
a point 100 feet West and 130 feet South of Northeast
corner of Southeast Northwest Southeast thence South
170 feet thence West 188 . 6 feet thence North 170 . 16
feet thence East 187 . 2 feet to point of beginning and
also commencing at a point 30 feet South and 100 feet
West of the Northeast corner of Southeast Northwest
Southeast thence South 100 feet thence West 187 .2 feet
thence North 100 feet thence East 187 . 2 feet to
beginning and also commencing at point 30 feet South of
and 100 feet West of Northeast corner Southeast
Northwest Southeast said section thence South 270 feet
thence East 67 feet thence North 270 feet thence West
67 feet to point of beginning, all in the City of
Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa;
and
WHEREAS, it is the sense of the Council of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, that said request should be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that permission is
hereby granted to Jeff Swartzendruber for placement of a 4 x 4
stoop on city right-of-way subject to the following conditions :
1 . Work to be performed by an approved and bonded
contractor.
2 . A permit is to be obtained from the office of the City
Engineer prior to construction.
3 . All work shall be performed under the supervision of
the City Engineer and at no cost to the City of
Waterloo.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is authorized and
directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the
Black Hawk County Recorder for recording and the Black Hawk County
Auditor for filing in order that this said action may become a
matter of official County Record.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of May, 2000 .
