RESOLUTION NO. 2000-374
RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF COLUMBUS HIGH
SCHOOL CLASS OF 65 REUNION FOR VARIANCE TO
NOISE ORDINANCE, ORDINANCE NO. 3094 .
WHEREAS, the Columbus High School Class of 65 Reunion is
having a sound system playing music within the city limits of the
City of Waterloo in conjunction with festivities to be held at the
Black Hawk Tennis Club, and
WHEREAS, said sound system operations exceed the limits of the
Noise Ordinance, Ordinance No. 3094, and
WHEREAS, said Columbus High School Class of 65 Reunion has
made formal application for a variance effective from 3: 00 p.m. to
11 : 30 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA that the request of the Columbus High School Class
of 65 Reunion for a variance to Ordinance No. 3094, Noise
Ordinance in conjunction with festivities to be held at the Black
Hawk Tennis Club on Black Hawk Road, effective from 3: 00 p.m. to
11 : 30 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2000 be and the same hereby
granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10th day of July, 2000.
