RESOLUTION NO. 2000-450
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF MAIN STREET
WATERLOO AND WATERLOO COMMUNITY SCHOOLS TO
HOLD OLYMPIKIDS FUN RUN ON SEPTEMBER 28, 2000,
IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY,
IOWA.
WHEREAS, Main Street Waterloo and the Waterloo Community
Schools are planning a OlympiKids Fun Run to be held on Thursday,
September 28, 2000, from 10: 00 a.m. to 12 : 30 p.m. , with the race
route to begin and end at Lincoln Park, and
WHEREAS, said Main Street Waterloo and the Waterloo Community
Schools are requesting permission to conduct said OlympiKids Fun
Run on city streets on Thursday, September 28, 2000, from 10: 00
a.m. to 12 : 30 p.m. , with the race route to begin and end at Lincoln
Park and to close 4th Street and Park Avenue from Mulberry to
Commercial Streets .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Main Street Waterloo
and the Waterloo Community Schools to conduct OlympiKids Fun Run on
Thursday, September 28, 2000 starting at 10: 00 a.m. to 12 : 30 p.m. ,
with the race route to begin and end at Lincoln Park and to close
4th Street and Park Avenue from Mulberry to Commercial Streets, be
and the same is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of August, 2000.
