RESOLUTION NO. 2000-531
RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION WITH THE IOWA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND DIRECTING
EXECUTION OF SAID APPLICATION BY MAYOR.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
that the Application dated September 25, 2000 for Statewide
Enhancement funds in the amount of $317, 547 . 00 in conjunction with
development of Bike Trail between East 4th Street and the 18th
Street Bridge, with estimated project costs of $453, 829. 00, by and
between the Iowa Department of Transportation, and the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, be and the same is hereby approved, and the Mayor
authorized to execute the same in behalf of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY that the city will maintain said
proposed bicycle trail from East Eighteenth Street to East Fourth
Street along the Cedar River for twenty (20) years .
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 25th day of September, 2000.
