RESOLUTION NO. 2000-614
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF MAIN
STREET WATERLOO TO HOLD ANNUAL HOLIDAY
PARADE AND OTHER EVENTS AT VARIOUS
DOWNTOWN LOCATIONS IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE "DOWNTOWN LIGHTS THE NIGHT" EVENT ON
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 2, 2000 FROM 5: 00 P.M.
TO 8 : 00 P.M. , IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA.
WHEREAS, Main Street Waterloo is planning a holiday
parade in conjunction with the "Downtown Lights the Night"
Event on Saturday, December 2, 2000 from 5: 00 p.m. to 8 : 00
p.m. , and
WHEREAS, Main Street Waterloo is requesting that they be
authorized to conduct said holiday parade and other events
along 4th Street, 5th Street and Park Avenue and Veteran' s
Memorial Hall .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Main Street
Waterloo to conduct the annual holiday parade on 4th Street
beginning at the public parking area under Highway 218 to
Mulberry, Mulberry to 5th Street and 5th Street back to the
218 viaduct, and various other events along 4th Street, 5th
Street and Park Avenue and Veteran' s Memorial Hall in
conjunction with the "Downtown Lights the Night" Event on
Saturday, December 2, 2000 from 5: 00 p.m. to 8 : 00 p.m. , be and
the same is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of November, 2000.
