RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING TO BE GIVEN ON APPLICATION OF
CLAASSEN ENGINEERING ON BEHALF OF YOUNG
DEVELOPMENT TO REZONE FROM "A-1" AGRICULTURAL
DISTRICT TO "R-2" ONE AND TWO FAMILY
RESIDENCE DISTRICT PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED
IN THE 900 - 1000 BLOCK OF BISHOP AVENUE,
JUST NORTH OF COTTAGE GROVE AVENUE, AS APRIL
5, 1999, AT 7 : 00 P.M. IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS
IN CITY HALL AND INSTRUCTING CITY CLERK TO
PUBLISH NOTICE OF HEARING.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall
meet in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, at 7 : 00 p.m. on the 5th day of April, 1999, for
the purpose of considering and acting upon an application of
Claassen Engineering on behalf of Young Development to rezone from
"A-1" Agricultural District to "R-2" One and Two Family Residence
District property generally located in the 900 - 1000 Block of
Bishop Avenue, just north of Cottage Grove Avenue for low-density
residential development legally described as follows :
The North One (1) acre of the Southwest Quarter (SW14)
of the Southeast Quarter (SEk) of the Northwest Quarter
(NWT) of Section Twenty-nine (29) , and,
The South One (1) acre of the Northwest Quarter (NW14) •
of the Southeast Quarter (SEk) of the Northwest Quarter
(NWk) of Section Twenty-nine (29) , and,
The South Nine (9) acres of the Southwest Quarter (SEk)
of the Southeast Quarter (SEk) of the Northwest Quarter
(NWk) of said Section Twenty-nine (29) except the West
Twenty-five (25) feet thereof, and, except the South
Three Hundred Thirty (330) feet thereof, and,
The East One-half (E ) of the Southeast Quarter (SE1-)
of the Northwest Quarter (NW11) of said Section Twenty-
nine (29) , all in Township Eighty-nine North (T89N) ,
Range Twelve West (R12W) of the Fifth Principal
Meridian, City of Waterloo, Black Hawk, County, Iowa;
except the East Three Hundred Thirty (330) feet
thereof, and, except the South Three Hundred thirty
(330) feet thereof.
Also, except that part of the Southeast Quarter (SEk)
of the Northwest Quarter (NWk) of said Section Twenty-
nine (29) described as follows :
Beginning at the East line of Bishop Avenue, Waterloo,
Iowa, and the North line of the South One (1) acre of
the Northwest Quarter (NW1i) of the Southeast Quarter
(SEk) of the Northwest Quarter (NWk) of said Section
Twenty-nine (29) ; thence Three Hundred (300) feet East
along said North line of said South One (1) acre;
thence South parallel with Bishop Avenue One Hundred
Forty (140) feet; thence West Three Hundred (300) feet
parallel with the North line of said South One (1) acre
to the East line of Bishop Avenue; thence North One
Hundred Forty (140) feet to the point of beginning, all
in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
Notice of,kjthe time 1:and place of said hearing in the Waterloo
